71st meeting of the Council for Democratic Elections

The Council for Democratic Elections reviewed the following draft opinions prior to their adoption by the Venice Commission:
• Georgia - Draft joint opinion of the Venice Commission and the OSCE/ODIHR on draft amendments to the Election Code, the Organic Law on the Political Associations of Citizens and the Rules of Procedure of Parliament;
• Georgia - Draft joint opinion of the Venice Commission and the OSCE/ODIHR on draft Article 79.1 of the Electoral Code (revocation of party registration);
• Ukraine - Draft joint opinion of the Venice Commission and the OSCE/ODIHR on the draft Law on Political Parties.
In addition, the Council re-elected Mr Oliver Kask as its President and elected Mr Stewart Dickson as its Vice-President.
