Yerevan - Within the framework of the Chairmanship of the Republic of Armenia in the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe and in co-operation with the Constitutional Court of Armenia and the European Court of Human Rights, the Venice Commission will organise the Pan-European Conference on “the European Standards of Rule of Law and the Scope of Discretionary Powers in the Member-States of the Council of Europe”. The Conference is to explore the necessary limits of discretionary powers within the principle of the rule of law. Delegations from some 30 countries are expected to participate in the Conference.
