Strasbourg, Council of Europe – by a letter dated 22 May 2019 the Chair of the Monitoring Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe requested an opinion of the Venice Commission on the Law on “Ensuring the functioning of the Ukrainian language as a State language”.
The draft opinion will be discussed by the Commission after the parliamentary elections of July 2019, at its December 2019 plenary session.
