Strasbourg - The University of Strasbourg and the Marangopoulos Foundation for Human Rights organised an international conference entitled "European constitutional heritage: between progression and regression" on May 4-5, 2023. The following themes were addressed:
• The components of the European constitutional heritage
• The deconstruction of the European constitutional heritage?
• The reconstruction of European constitutional heritage
The Venice Commission participated in the conference and intervene on the subjects as follows:
• "European constitutional heritage as a basis fo rthe Venise Commisdsion Standards "
• "European constitutional heritage, the Venice Commission and Latin American constitutionalism"
• "The codification of the constitutional electoral heritage".
The President Emeritus, Special Representative of the Commission, Mr Gianni Buquicchio, acted as a moderator of the session on the "Identification of the areas of action".
