GEORGIA- 10th Annual Meeting of Election Management Bodies

Tbilisi – The Central Election Commission of Georgia organised the 10th Annual Meeting of Election Management Bodies.
The following topics were dealt with by the meeting:
• Perspectives of using electoral technologies in the electoral processes,
• Sharing expertise and knowledge on challenges and positive aspects of using electoral technologies in the electoral processes,
• Influence of disinformation in electoral processes and the tools/strategies to combat disinformation.
Representatives of eleven countries as well as of the USAID, IFES and OSCE/ODIHR participated in the meeting. A representative of the Venice Commission contributed to the event by delivering a speech on “Standards developed on electoral campaigns and misinformation”.
