The Constitutional Court of Georgia has made a request for an amicus curiae brief from the Venice Commission on whether a higher court is entitled to go beyond the scope of a complaint in criminal cases. The amicus curiae brief should be adopted by the Venice Commission at its 103rd Plenary Session in June 2015.
