Cluj-Napoca - The Venice Commission participated in a conference, organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania and the Babes-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca, to celebrate 20 years since the opening for signature of the Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities and 20 years since the ratification of the Convention by Romania. On this occasion, the Babes-Bolyai University awarded the President Gianni Buquicchio the title of Doctor Honoris Causa.
