St-Petersburg - the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation organised the International Conference entitled “Constitution in the global change epoch and the goals of constitutional review”, which commenced the work of the VIIIth St. Petersburg International Legal Forum. Secretary of the Venice Commission Mr Thomas Markert, ECtHR Vice-President Ms A. Nussberger, Director General of the Directorate General of Human Rights and Rule of Law Mr Christos Giakoumopoulos represented the Council of Europe at the event.
