Budapest – A delegation of the Venice Commission visited Hungary in the framework of the preparation of an opinion - requested by the Minister of Justice of Hungary - on the recent legislation introducing an administrative court system.
The delegation had exchanges with the Minister of Justice, the National Office for the Judiciary, the National Judicial Council, the Constitutional Court, relevant parliamentary committees, professional associations of judges, the Hungarian Bar Association, as well as the civil society.
The draft opinion was presented to the Venice Commission for examination and possible adoption at its March plenary session (15-16 March 2019).
