Public administration reform : new challenges and new operating modes, 12th UniDem Med, webinar

The Venice Commission is organizing the 12th UniDem Med Regional Seminar entitled "" REFORM OF PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION: NEW CHALLENGES AND NEW METHODS OF OPERATION", in co-operation with the Presidency of the Government of Tunisia. This seminar takes place in the form of a videoconference from 15th to 17th of December 2020.

More than one hundred international experts and senior public officials from the Southern Mediterranean will take part in this event (Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Palestine * and Tunisia). The participants will exchange good practices aimed to modernise the administration based on job and competency management and planning. The seminar will address the following themes: mobility and professional transitions, skills management and performance evaluation, gender equality and the means to promote and support the professional career of women and establishment of a sustainable and inclusive framework for constructive social dialogue within the public administration.
The working languages of this seminar are English and French.

The main objective of the UniDem Med Campus (University for Democracy) is to contribute through peer-to-peer exchanges to the modernisation of the administration in the southern Mediterranean by enforcing law and consolidating institutions. The project aims to strengthen the legal capacities of senior civil servants in areas related to good governance, rule of law and human rights as well as to strengthen the links between the public administrations from the region. It is financed by the joint Council of Europe-European Union Programme "Regional Support to Reinforce Human rights, Rule of Law and Democracy in the Southern Mediterranean" (South Programme IV).
