The Venice Commission participated in the meeting of the PACE Committee on Political Affairs and Democracy.
As part of discussions on the follow up to Resolution 2326 (2020) “Democracy hacked: how to respond?”, the Committee exchanged views with a member of the Venice Commission on recently adopted “Principles for a fundamental rights-compliant use of digital technologies in electoral processes”.
In addition, a member of the Venice Commission presented its “Parameters on the relationship between the parliamentary majority and the opposition in a democracy: a Checklist” under the agenda item entitled “Relationship between the parliamentary majority and the opposition in a democracy” (cf. Resolution 1601 (2008)).
