Sofia - In the framework of the preparation of the draft opinion on the draft amendments to the Judicial System Act concerning the Inspectorate at the Supreme Judicial Council and the draft opinion on the draft amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code and other draft amendments to the Judicial System Act, the Venice Commission’s rapporteurs met with the representatives of the following interlocutors:
• Ministry of Justice,
• Supreme Judicial Council,
• Prosecutor’s Office,
• Political Parties (We Continue the Change, GERB, Movement for Rights and Freedoms, Bulgarian Socialist Party for Bulgaria, There Is Such a People, Democratic Bulgaria, Revival),
• National Institute of Justice,
• Supreme Court of Cassation,
• Inspectorate at the Supreme Judicial Council,
• civil society.
The draft opinions will be submitted for adoption at the 132nd Plenary session of the Commission (21-22 October 2022).
