In the framework of the preparation of the draft opinion on the draft constitutional law “On the Commissioner for Human Rights", the Venice Commission’s rapporteurs met online with the representatives of the following interlocutors:
• Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights,
• Members of the Senate and the Mazhilis (the upper and lower houses of the Parliament, respectively),
• Chairman of the Commission on Human Rights,
• Ministry of Justice,
• civil society.
The draft opinion will be submitted for adoption at the 132nd Plenary session of the Commission (21-22 October 2022).
