Baku - Upon the request of the Azeri authorities the Venice Commission organised , in co-operation with IFES office in Baku and the Central Electoral Commission of Azerbaijan, an electoral training workshop. The participants discussed different aspects of the organisation of elections such as the registration of candidates, the work of electoral commissions before and during the E- Day, including ballot counting. The main objective of this activity was to train the staff of the precinct and regional electoral commissions before the local elections which are to take place in December 2004.
